Hellfire Vs Lipodrene: What’s The Better Thermogenic?

Hellfire Vs Lipodrene: What’s The Better Thermogenic?

Unlike other fat burner types, thermogenics can play an immediate role in your weight loss. This is done by influencing the amount of calories your body burns throughout the day, not just during a workout. But, shopping for a thermogenic can mean coming across a lot of mixed ingredients and reviews. That’s why we’re here to clear things up. In this post, we’ll be going over HellFire vs Lipodrene; including: what they are, what they share, and what makes them different.

Don’t forget to check out some other comparisons!

What Are HellFire And Lipodrene?
It should come as no surprise that both these products are famed thermogenics. One, Lipodrene, being popular for overall weight loss for years and has had many formula revisions and just as many loyal consumers. HellFire, on the other hand, maintained its popularity among the heavy-stimulant users.

What’s The Same:
There are four ingredients that are directly the same from each fat burner, however, their dosing may vary. Because both thermogenics contain proprietary blends, we aren’t able to determine any of the dosages of the ingredients that aren’t disclosed. For example, we can say that there is 100 mg of caffeine in Lipodrene and 150 mg of caffeine in HellFire. But, the amount of 2-Aminoisoheptane HCL in each product is not disclosed. Of the four ingredients, 2 ingredients are disclosed:

Caffeine Anhydrous 100 mg in Lipodrene/ 150 mg in HellFire

Ephedra Extract 25 mg in Lipodrene/ 150 mg in HellFire

Where both caffeine and ephedra are stimulants with appetite suppressing, mood boosting, and thermogenic properties(1, 2). Based on these two comparisons alone, you can see that HellFire tends to hold more dosage weight in the stimulants. And the other shared ingredients are also stimulants with thermogenic properties:

Senegalia Berlandieri Extract

2-Aminoisoheptane HCL

In fact, both of these ingredients have grown in popularity over the years with the removal of DMAA from the fat burners. Similarly, to caffeine and ephedra, these stimulants will have a mix of potential benefits. From the initial energy boost, to cognitive and focus aid, all the way to the calorie burning thermogenesis that we want. (3, 4)

Comparatively, some users prefer one stimulant over the other, which we have been able to notice with the recent changes to APS Nutrition’s Pre Workout Mesomorph.

Like many products, Mesomorph had once contained DMAA and has been through the ringer with different formula changes. However, it’s latest version features DMHA aka 2-Aminoisoheptane HCL and other stimulants, which you can read about in it’s blog HERE. What we have noticed lately, is that these changes had a positive influence on consumers’ focus, but necessarily on the energy aspect.

Whether or not that is determined by the DMHA alone or the other ingredients would be impossible to tell, but it could indicate that DMHA may be better than Senegalia in this aspect, but not in energy. Luckily, these fat burners have both.

Although, those are the only ingredients that are directly the same, there is one more set of ingredients that belong in this section:

Rauwolfia Serpentina Extract

Yohimbine HCL

Similar to many ingredients, these two share a common source and thus share some principle effects, though aren’t entirely the same. Yohimbine is a stimulant alkaloid that can be derived from the rauwolfia serpentina root. In which, both these ingredients act as antagonists at α2-adrenoceptors located in fat cells. By blocking these receptors, these ingredients could increase fat loss. However, these effects are varied and more research is needed (5, 6, 7).

What’s Different
As you can imagine, there’s much more of a difference with these products than there is similar. To begin, HellFire’s entire proprietary blend is a total of 235 mg, while Lipodrenes’ is 560 mg. But you have to keep in mind, HellFire excluded both caffeine and ephedra from the blend leaving entering 235 mg of undisclosed ingredients. Lipodrene, on the other hand, only has caffeine out of the blend so really, there’s about 535 mg. But for both products, that means the senegalia, DMHA, and the rauwolfia and yohimbine are within the blends.

Generally, food and nutrition labels present ingredients in order by descending volume. So the ingredient with the largest value is likely to be the first ingredient in a blend. Although this is a precedent set in many products, we cannot guarantee each product displays it’s ingredients in this fashion. In the event that at least Lipodrene does, you can see that ephedra is the first ingredient listed in the blend at 25 mg. Thus each ingredient after may likely be dosed at the same dose or lower.

Stimulants

Higenamine HCL

Similar to how yohimbine is an alpha-2 adrenoceptor antagonist, higenamine is a beta-2 adrenergic receptor agonist. It is often compared to ephedrine and synephrine for its effects on lipolysis, but higenamine is also interesting because it shows properties of a vasodilator, which leads to increased blood flow to the muscles. Unlike in most stimulants that are vaso-constricting. (8)

Thermogenics

Evodiamine
Rutacarpine
Black Pepper Extract

Following the trend of similar ingredients, both Evodiamine and Rutacarpine are very similar and are often studied in their plant form Evodia Rutaecarpa. Where both these ingredients are active ingredients from this plant. Because of this, they share similar functions as a thermogenic. In fact, by removing these extracts from the plant sources, the bioavailability may be improved. Making them more effective. Next we have Black Pepper Extract, which has some evidence of promoting thermogenesis, but typically it’s used in supplements to improve bioavailability of the other ingredients in the blend. (9, 10, 11)

Appetite Suppressants

Peppermint Extract
Black Tea Extract

Our last two ingredients in HellFire fall under the appetite suppressant category. However, keep in mind all the stimulants in this blend will contribute to this effect. These are just the two non-stimulatory ingredients. (12, 13)

Stimulants

Synephrine HCL
Theobromine
Citrus Aurantium Extract

Both Synephrine and Citrus Aurantium are stimulants coming from the same source. So they have the same function to promote an increase in energy, appetite suppression and thermogenesis. Contrastingly, Theobromine is a stimulant but it does not stimulant the central nervous system like most other stimulants. Instead, it stimulants smooth muscle, this is expressed in bronchodilation and vasodilation. (14, 15, 16)

Thermogenics

Naringen
6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin

Naringin helps burn fat by increasing production of a fat burning hormone, adiponectin. When combined with synephrine, it may even increase energy expenditure. Similarly, 6,7 Dihydroxybergamottin also may increase thermogenesis, when combined with synephrine.(17)

Appetite Suppressants

Hoodia Extract

Hoodia Extract is a popular appetite suppressant. There aren’t many studies on Hoodia to pinpoint a compound that results in appetite suppression, but the studies that have been done (and it’s history within the Khoi-San tribes) indicate it is an effective appetite suppressant. (18)

Mood Boosters

5-Methoxytryptamine HCL
L-5-Hydroxytryptophan

5-MT is a precursor to melatonin. Besides its role in sleep, it has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant properties. It’s also involved with regulating blood pressure, immune function, and body temperature. 5-HTP is a precursor to serotonin. Meaning once consumed, a chemical reaction occurs to produce serotonin. (19, 20)

Lastly

Cassia Nomame Extract

Cassia Nomame may prevent the stomach and intestines from absorbing dietary fat. This causes the excretion of dietary fat. Which might promote weight loss in some people. †

What To Expect:
Overall, we’d rank HellFire as a stronger stimulant/thermogenic fat burner compared to Lipodrene. However, Lipodrene may have a better appetite suppression complex compared to HellFire. But, let’s checkout some recent reviews to get a real grasp on the two!

HellFire Review by Hanin  3/12/21

Can’t live without this thing . Been using it for 4 years now . You definitely need to dose it right but it does the job amazing. Also need to get off of it every 6 months for at least 40 days to prevent yourself from getting dependent. You have to be aware of the side effects when you stop taking it. It gives you the opposite effect you may experience headaches and lethargy. As long as you’re aware of the side effects when you come off of it you will be fine. It is very important to keep Taking it every day to achieve results. I take it once a day when 15 minutes before breakfast or lunch . And I think this is the best way to get the full effect of it.
